For earrings with heavy pendants — such as those made from polymer clay or resin with incorporated elements — always choose the leverback hook with closure rather than the open classic hook. The leverback keeps the earring secure on the ear regardless of the pendant's weight and eliminates the risk of accidental dropping. If you still prefer the classic hook for a heavier pendant, add a small silicone stopper bead to the hook before inserting into the ear — the stopper keeps the hook in position and prevents it from slipping out without affecting wearing comfort.
